Seeking the Welfare of the City
We will seek to positively impact the health and well-being of the neighborhoods and comm unities around us; we will become agents of reconciliation in our communities; we will seek to address the underlying causes of the suffering we see around us in order to bring about lasting systemic change.
Saint Andrew’s has several opportunities to serve, both within Saint Andrew’s and outside our walls — sharing Christ’s love with others by our actions.
Helping Our Neighbors
Saint Andrew’s is one of approximately twenty-eight churches that are members of the Brazos Church Pantry, which is located across the street from our parish. We support the Pantry with donations of money, donations of food and volunteers who work at the Pantry. Volunteers are needed, weekdays and weekends. Contact the parish office to join a Saint Andrew’s team.
The Church Pantry is a great Opportunity to serve our community. You can meet interesting people, both clients and other volunteers. It is easy to get started; and it is basically on-the-job training.
Helping our local and global neighbors by ending hunger
CROP Hunger Walk – Saint Andrew’s is a leading participant to help “end hunger one step at a time” – this event happens each year in October. Participants can join Team St. Andrew’s as a walker or a sponsor.
