Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church has a goal of offering excellent liturgy that reflects the glory of God. We are seeking a part-time Director of Music who can help the congregation fulfill this goal. The Director of Music’s responsibilities include playing the organ for the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services, Holy Days, weddings, funerals, and other special services as needed; rehearsing and directing the Saint Andrew’s chancel choir; rehearsing and directing the Saint Andrew’s handbell choir; providing other instrumental music and hiring and rehearsing additional musicians, as necessary. In consultation with the Rector, the Director of Music will also select anthems, psalm settings, service music, hymns, and other choral pieces. Other responsibilities include planning concerts, recitals and other performance opportunities; and carrying out administrative duties such as participating in staff meetings.
