Explore Historic Downtown Bryan with an Architect
Dr. Alan Strong, Director of Music at Saint Andrew’s, and professor of architecture at Blinn College, will lead two free tours of downtown Bryan. His stops will highlight such diverse buildings as the Queen Theater, Carnegie History Center and Temple Freda. Tours start promptly at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. in front of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Reservations are strongly recommended to ensure space. Email Dr. Strong, [email protected] and note the preferred tour time.
Rock Painting, Windows Tours at Saint Andrew’s First Friday
Enjoy a spring evening in downtown Bryan rock painting with your children in the parking lot at historic Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Paint and rocks provided. Listen to music played on the church carillon. Founded in 1867 and a downtown landmark, the church will also be open for tours of its luminous stained glass windows throughout the evening.
Parking is available in the church parking lot (please arrive early as spaces fill quickly. Enter through the back from Parker Street, as our front entrance along 26th street will be closed off. If our parking lot fills up, there is usually parking available near the church.
